Farmers Cooperative Donates to Cattlemen's Ball

Farmers Cooperative presents a check to Mike Long, Member of the Underwriting Committee and Group Chairman for the 2018 Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska.  Farmers Cooperative is pleased to support the upcoming event.  “We are happy to support the Cattlemen’s Ball in their efforts to find a cure for cancer,” stated Dennis Kenning, Sales & Marketing Manager of the Farmers Cooperative.  “Cancer is one of those things in life that affects almost everyone.  We have all had a family member or friend that has been plagued by this disease.  We hope others will continue to support the efforts of the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Ball.” said Kenning.

Now in its 21st year, The Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska is a premier fundraising event held annually the first weekend of June for the benefit of cancer research.  Ninety percent of funds raised are given to the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center in Omaha, Nebr.  The remaining 10 percent is given back to local communities to aid local health programs.  The event’s mission also aims to showcase rural Nebraska and promote the consumption of beef as part of a healthy diet.

Guests enjoy delicious food and performances by chart-topping country music artists.  There are also several auctions, shopping, a Ranch Rodeo, a Golf Tournament and Fun Run; an Air Show, a Cancer Survivor Style Show, an Art Show, a Craft Brew event and Wine tastings, a History Tent, access to health screenings, and much more.

The 2018 event will be held at the Randy & Becky Hergott Farm (6235 Road P) in Hebron, Nebr. on June 1 & 2, 2018.  Tickets for the event are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting their website, www.cattlemensball.com.  Details of the two-day fundraiser are also available on the website.  The event also has an active presence on Facebook.  To Like and Follow them, search:  Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska.
