Farmers Cooperative offers agricultural internships to college underclassmen. The goal of our intern program is to not only bring value to the coop, but also create value for the individual intern to help further their knowledge and experience in agriculture. In order to create a valuable experience, each intern is paired with a mentor from Farmers Cooperative to share their insights on our industry. We offer a 12 week summer program as well as 10 week programs for students on the quarter schedule.
Through this internship, students will get to see how a department operates and gain understanding on how the cooperative operates as a whole. If the time of year allows it, the student will also get to attend training events, industry tours and a Farmers Cooperative facility tour. Each mentor allows the intern to give feedback and choose what they want to see if the season and workload allows it. Farmers Cooperative understands the importance of youth in the agriculture industry and provides a positive experience each intern can take with them for the rest of their lives.
Internships are currently offered in the: Agronomy, Feed, Marketing, and Precision Ag Departments.
