Jul 02, 2024

Get to know Blake Hansen! He’s from Dorchester, NE, and is this summer’s agronomy operations intern out of Wilber, NE.

Blake is dual majoring in Agriculture Economics and Agronomy at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.

Why did you choose to intern with Farmers Cooperative and why did you choose agronomy operations?
My family has always done business with Farmers Cooperative so I was intrigued to see the supplier side of the business.

What has been the best part of your internship so far?
I am looking forward to getting out in the field and crop scouting.

Day-to-day activities in your role:
Day-to-day, I mostly just tender sprayers and help customers with whatever they may need.

Post-graduation Plans:
I’ll graduate in May of 2026, and I plan on going back home to farm around Dorchester.

Fun Fact:
I’m in the Tractor Restoration Club at UNL.
