Farmers Cooperative Donates To Fillmore County Ag Society

The Fillmore County Ag Society was presented a $2,500 donation from Farmers Cooperative to help with the construction of the new social center at the Fillmore County Fairgrounds.
Fillmore County Ag Society board members Debbie Hoarty and Don Bristol unanimously stated, “We appreciate the support from Farmers Cooperative for our new social center.”
The social center will feature a 36’ x 100’ x 10’ open structure facility with a solid canopy roof. This will be set onto a 5” cement base pad, replacing the present uneven grass/dirt base, which will make the structure more handicap accessible.
The Fillmore County Ag Society continues to raise funds for the structure. Donations will be put towards adding necessary items such as picnic tables and fans. Land O’Lakes matched the donation with an additional $2,500, for a total contribution of $5,000.
