Farmers Cooperative to Host Farm to Field Event for Cattle Producers

Farmers Cooperative, in partnership with Purina, invites cattle producers to attend Farm to Field on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Harvest Hall on the Seward County Fairgrounds in Seward, Nebraska. This exclusive educational event will provide practical, research-based information producers can apply directly to their operations to improve herd performance and profitability.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the program kicking off at 9:00 a.m. Attendees will enjoy complimentary donuts, coffee, and a catered lunch while learning from industry-leading experts and experienced local producers.

The day will feature presentations from Purina technical experts and Ph.D. nutritionists, who will share the latest research and recommendations on cattle nutrition and management. Producers will gain practical insights into feeding strategies, herd health, and management practices that support long-term success.

local producer panel will offer firsthand perspectives on the opportunities and challenges facing today's cattle operations. Panelists will discuss management strategies that have worked on their own farms, giving attendees valuable takeaways they can implement at home.

Morganne Kostal and Linda McKay will lead a session focused on vitamin and mineral nutrition, including Purina's Wind & Rain® Mineral program. The discussion will cover mineral supplementation, herd health, and nutritional strategies that help cattle perform at every stage of production.

Additional educational sessions will explore starter feed programs and Purina's RX3® Technology, along with strategies for utilizing forage resources through forage testing and strategic feeding decisions. Producers will learn how to maximize the value of homegrown forage while making informed nutrition decisions that improve efficiency and performance.

One of the day's highlights will be a hands-on body condition scoring clinic featuring live cattle demonstrations. Participants will learn how to accurately evaluate body condition and use those observations to guide nutrition and management decisions throughout the year.

As an added benefit, every attendee will receive a voucher for Purina feed discounts, providing an opportunity to put what they've learned into practice. Additional voucher discounts will also be available for new customers interested in implementing Purina nutrition programs.
