Intern Spotlight - Cassidy Meinke

Jul 21, 2024

Get to know Cassidy Meinke! She’s from Crete, NE, and is this summer’s marketing intern out of Dorchester, NE.

Cassidy is attending Southeast Community College in Beatrice, double majoring in Agriculture Management & Production (Agribusiness focus) and Livestock Management & Production.

Why did you choose to intern with Farmers Cooperative and why did you choose marketing?
I chose to intern at Farmers Cooperative because I grew up around agriculture, both cow-calf and row crop, and my family has always done business with the co-op, so I was interested in seeing a different side of the industry and the company. I chose marketing because I enjoy the organizational and creative aspects of the job, while still staying connected to agriculture.

What has been the best part of your internship so far?
So far, I have really enjoyed the variety of projects I get to work on - every day is something different! I’m excited to continue learning more about what goes into the job and getting to know the people I work with.

Day-to-day activities in your role:
As the marketing intern, I help organize events and promote Farmers Cooperative in many different ways. This includes creating flyers and social media content, communicating with employees, ordering and delivering supplies, organizing spreadsheets, and so much more.

Post-graduation plans:
I will graduate in May of 2025 and hope to continue work in marketing and stay involved in the family farm.

Fun Fact:
My favorite drink is strawberry lemonade.
