Get to know Evan Quackenbush, the safety intern from Dewitt, Nebraska!

Evan is studying Agricultural Systems Technology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Why did you choose to intern at Farmers Cooperative?
I chose Farmers Cooperative because I knew it would be a great opportunity to be able to work with a company that has been a part of my entire life.

What has been the best part of your internship so far?
The best part has been going to different locations and being able to meet so many people from so many different places.

What are the day-to-day tasks in your role?
The day-to-day tasks vary from going to different locations to check on different needs and working to get all our paper information to an online program for my internship project.

What is your summer internship project?
My project is setting up an online system for all the safety department’s paper forms, including Near Miss, Accident Reports, and Job Safety Analysis.

How did you find out about the Farmers Cooperative internship?
I found out about the internship through a career fair at UNL!

What is a fun fact about yourself?
I am the youngest of five children.

We’re excited to welcome Evan to the team this summer and can’t wait to see the impact he’ll make throughout his internship!
