Intern Spotlight: Koby Nachtigal
Jul 15, 2026
Get to know Koby Nachtigal, the agronomy sales intern from Aurora, Nebraska!
Koby graduated from Southeast Community College in May.
Why did you choose to intern at Farmers Cooperative?
I chose Farmers Cooperative because I thought that they’d be the best at helping me learn more and further my knowledge and skills in agronomy.
What has been the best part of your internship so far?
The best part of the internship so far has just been getting in the fields and scouting for different farmers.
What are the day-to-day tasks in your role?
The day-to-day tasks are learning about all of the agronomy products and services, as well as how to properly recommend and provide them to customers through the sales team. I will also help monitor test plots and research projects, as well as support the day-to-day operations in Raymond. I also do some crop scouting, tissue sampling, custom application, precision agriculture, and other agronomy tasks.
What is your summer internship project?
My project is creating chemical plans for post-emergence applications in corn and soybean fields. I help determine the best herbicide recommendations for weed control and use the results to develop application plans that help farmers manage their crops throughout the growing season.
How did you find out about the Farmers Cooperative internship?
I found out about the internship through their website. I had already known what Farmers Cooperative was.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
I got married this summer.
We’re excited to welcome Koby to the team this summer and can’t wait to see the impact he’ll make throughout his internship!
