Intern Spotlight: Michael Bader

Meet Michael Bader, our agronomy operations intern this summer in Milford, Nebraska.
Michael is from Seward, Nebraska, and is attending Southeast Community College - Beatrice, majoring in Diversified Agriculture & Production. He anticipates graduating in December 2025.
Why did you choose to intern at Farmers Cooperative?
I wanted to learn more about the agronomy operations side of agriculture.
Why did you choose this specific internship ?
Agronomy Operations are important, so I want to learn skills that will benefit my farming operation at home.
What has been the best part of your internship so far?
Meeting the customers along with other interns at the co-op.
What are you most excited about this summer?
Learning more about how agronomy applications work and the different skills that go hand in hand with it.
What are the day-to-day tasks in your role?
My day-to-day jobs include filling out application orders and loading chemical totes.
What is your summer internship project?
This summer, I am monitoring transparent growing boxes to track root growth from different corn and bean seeds that have been treated with seed treatments.
What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to find a full-time ag sales position, while also pursuing my own business.
Fun fact?
I have my own side business where I flip and renovate houses.
