Get to know Owen Vyhnalek, one of the drone operations interns from Dorchester, Nebraska!
Owen is studying Agricultural Science at Concordia University.
Why did you choose to intern at Farmers Cooperative?
I chose Farmers Cooperative to get the opportunity to fly spray drones, while getting certified for roles that will help with jobs down the road.
What has been the best part of your internship so far?
The best part of my internship so far is spraying pastures with the drones and getting to see how they operate.
What are the day-to-day tasks in your role?
Day-to-day tasks include performing maintenance on drones and drone trailers.
What is your summer internship project?
My summer internship project is about what we did as spray drone interns throughout the summer. It covers our daily responsibilities, the skills we learned, and the hands-on experience we gained while working with spray drones.
What are you most excited about this summer?
I am excited for July when I am really busy spraying every day.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
I am a 6th generation farmer.
