Intern Spotlight: Peyton Hinrichs
Jul 30, 2025

Meet Peyton Hinrichs, our marketing intern this summer in Dorchester, Nebraska.
Peyton is from Bruning, Nebraska, and is attending Fort Hays State University, majoring in Agricultural Leadership. She anticipates graduating in May 2028.
Why did you choose to intern at Farmers Cooperative?
It was a new opportunity to further my skills and knowledge of the agricultural industry. I had just finished a year dedicated to being a Nebraska FFA State Officer, so I wanted to be involved with something that was equally growth-filled.
Why did you choose this specific internship?
Marketing is something that I think is interesting and found everywhere, even when people don't realize it. I wanted to learn more about what it all entailed while furthering my agricultural knowledge.
What has been the best part of your internship so far?
The best part so far has been traveling out to all the locations to meet people, as well as working with the marketing team on different projects and events.
What are you most excited about with your internship?
Learning more about all the different facets of the Cooperative and learning new real-world skills, making connections with the other interns, and those I get to work closely with.
What are the day-to-day tasks in your role?
My tasks include answering emails, putting together different materials to send to locations, organizing summer parades and pancake feed details, helping with different marketing events, communicating with employees and customers, as well as creating social media content.
What is your summer internship project?
My summer project is to highlight Farmers Cooperative employees, their stories, and the company culture through different multimedia formats.
What are your plans for after graduation?
I’m planning to work for an agriculturally based company in a communications and marketing/event capacity.
Fun fact?
I served as a Nebraska FFA State Vice President for 2024-25, and I own my own horticulture business called "Sprouting Roots" where I sell succulents and houseplants planted in thrifted items.
We’re glad to have Peyton on board this summer and look forward to seeing the contributions she makes during her internship!
