Get to know Thayer Jonak! He’s from Grand Island, NE, and is this summer’s agronomy sales intern out of both the Raymond and Milford locations.

Thayer is majoring in Agronomy at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.

Why did you choose to intern with Farmers Cooperative and why did you choose agronomy sales?
I chose Farmers Cooperative because we’ve done a lot of business with the company so I wanted to see the other side of it. I want to do sales after college, so this agronomy sales internship seemed like a good place to start.

What are you most excited about with your internship?
I’m most excited to spend the summer learning from professionals with years of experience. This internship will give me practical experience in the field, which will help me in my future career.

Day-to-day activities in your role:
My day-to-day activities consist of scouting fields for customers and monitoring the test plots.

Post-graduation Plans:
I plan on graduating in May of 2025 and pursuing a career in agronomy sales.

Fun Fact:
I enjoy hunting and fishing in my spare time.
