Propane Safety Starts in the Summer

May 20, 2026

As we head into the summer months across Nebraska and Kansas, now is a great time to focus on propane system safety and preparation for the next heating season. Customers are encouraged to keep propane tanks and regulators clear of debris, overgrown vegetation, and combustible materials to help ensure safe and efficient operation.

Summer is also an excellent time to complete annual maintenance and leak checks. If you receive a reminder for your annual leak check, please make sure to review and respond promptly so we can help keep your system operating safely.

Budget contracts for the upcoming heating season are expected to be mailed around May 26th, with residential contracts following around June 15. Customers are encouraged to watch their mailboxes and return completed paperwork as soon as possible.

As always, we appreciate the opportunity to serve our communities throughout Nebraska and Kansas and wish everyone a safe and enjoyable start to summer.
