Intern Spotlight: Cassidy Kowalski
Jun 30, 2022
Meet Cassidy Kowalski! This summer she is an agronomy intern located in Plymouth, NE.
Where are you from?
I am from Wilber, NE.
Where do you go to college?
Southeast Community College in Beatrice, majoring in Diversified Agriculture with a minor in Precision Agriculture.
Why did you choose to be an intern with Farmers Cooperative?
My brother and my dad work here, and I knew how good the atmosphere and the people were. I decided to give it a try because I’ve only heard good things about the co-op.
What are some of your daily tasks?
I work on reports for the Precision Ag department in AgSync, dispatch sprayers, help in the office where I’m needed, and sometimes scout fields.
What has been your favorite part of your internship so far?
For me, it’s been getting to hang out with all of the interns at our activities and the people I work with.
Moving forward, what job/career path do you see yourself pursuing?
Probably something in precision ag or maybe agronomy. I really took this internship to get my foot in the door and see if I wanted to do agronomy or if I wanted to push myself more towards the precision and I’ve been getting to do both here.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I like to show cows and I was in a tornado when I was two years old that was the biggest tornado recorded in Nebraska. I don’t remember all of it just the sounds and I’ve seen pictures and heard stories about it.
