2024 Food Drive Results

Farmers Cooperative held an employee food drive in hopes of lessening the burden on families in our communities who are food insecure.
In total $40,000 was donated by Farmers Cooperative and it's employees. Land O' Lakes Foundation approved a matching grant for a grand total of $80,000 donated to 47 local food banks and backpack programs. 1,583 pounds of food was donated by employees and $4,100 in monetary donations was brought in across 49 of our locations.
Congratulations to the Burchard location on winning again this year! They came in with a total of 695 pounds/monetary donations, which averages out to 99.33 pounds per employee donated. Total donations were divided by the number of employees at each location giving the average pound per employee. The employees at Burchard will receive a catered lunch as thanks for their outstanding participation in the food drive.

This year we added a step challenge as part of the hunger initiative. 133 employees participated in the two-week step challenge and walked a total of 14,853,168 steps which equated to $29,706.34 of the total donations to local food banks and backpack programs. For every 1,000 steps taken by an employee, Farmers Cooperative donated $1.00 and Land O' Lakes Foundation matched that donation for a total of $2.00 for every 1,000 steps. Congratulations to Brad Rezny for being the top stepper with a total of 264,605 steps.
